Practice Area Opportunities
Successful candidates may be assigned to support lawyers in one of the following practice areas, depending on experience and business needs:
Personal Injury & Property Damage (PIPD)
- Road traffic accident claims
- Workplace accident claims
- Public liability matters
- Insurance-related disputes
OR
General Disputes Practice
- Civil litigation
- Criminal law matters
- Family law matters
Candidates with experience in either practice area are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Support lawyers in the management and conduct of litigation matters from inception to resolution
- Prepare, review, and organise legal documents, correspondence, court filings, and supporting records
- Monitor court timelines, hearing dates, filing deadlines, and procedural requirements
- Liaise with clients, courts, opposing counsel, insurers, government agencies, experts, and other stakeholders
- Conduct legal and factual research, preparing case summaries, chronologies, and briefing materials
- Review, organise, and manage documentary evidence, reports, records, and supporting materials
- Assist in the preparation of hearings, mediations, pre-trial conferences, assessments, and trials
- Maintain accurate physical and electronic case files while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal procedures
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Paralegal, Legal Executive, Legal Secretary, or in a litigation support role will be advantageous
- Candidates with internships, attachments, or academic qualifications in Law, Legal Studies, or related disciplines are welcome to apply
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
